How Sugar Land pays

You win by lining up three, four or five of the same symbol on a payline. There are 11 standard symbols in play, all sweets of one kind or another.

The chocolate wild

The special chocolate symbol is the wild. It appears only on reels 2 to 5, never on reel 1. Since line wins start from the left, a wild can't make a winning line of its own. Its job is to substitute for other symbols and complete combinations that the regular sweets have started.

In practice this means your first reel has to do the work. If reel 1 shows a symbol you like, wilds further along can carry it across the line.

Chocolate bar scatter and free spins

The wild does not replace the chocolate bar. That one is the scatter, and it only turns up on reels 2, 3 and 4. It is the symbol that gives you the free spins, so it is the one to watch in the middle of the screen.

Keep the stake modest while you wait for it. Free spins arrive when they arrive, and a scatter feature restricted to three reels is not something to chase with bigger bets.
