Ocean King III, sold in full as Ocean King 3 Plus Crab Avengers, is a fish hunting game from Alpha, a US developer. It is the newer entry in the Ocean King fish shooter series, and it plays on the same shoot-and-collect idea.
How Ocean King III plays
Fish hunting games work differently from slots. You fire shots at creatures swimming across the screen, and each shot costs credits. When a creature is caught, you win its value multiplied by your shot size. Bigger targets are worth more but take more hits to bring down.
The table can be configured for 6, 8 or 10 players, with each seat around the edge of the screen. Other players are shooting at the same fish, so a creature you have weakened can be caught by someone else.
Crab monsters, dragons and the Smash Hammer
The Crab Avengers edition brings three additions to the Ocean King series:
- New crab monsters – the crab bosses the edition is named after
- Mysterious dragons – high-value targets that appear during play
- Smash Hammer – a new weapon added to your arsenal
