Play8oy Download: Setting Up on iPhone, Android or a Windows PC

Play8oy comes in three versions: iPhone, Android and Windows. Installing any of them is quick once you know which prompt to expect. This guide covers each one and then the problems players hit most often.

Installing Play8oy, device by device

iPhone. Start the iOS download, wait for the icon, and don't be surprised when the first launch fails with an untrusted developer message. Go to Settings, General, VPN & Device Management (Profiles & Device Management on older iOS), tap the Play8oy developer profile and choose Trust.

Android. The APK installs from outside the Play Store. Open it, follow Android's prompt to allow installs from your browser or file manager, then tap Install. Turn that permission off again afterwards.

Windows. Run the installer. SmartScreen may say the app is unrecognised; choose More info and Run anyway only when you trust the source.

When Play8oy won't install or open

• "App not installed" on Android: often an older copy is already on the phone. Uninstall it first, or check you have enough free storage.
• Parse error on Android: the file didn't download fully or is damaged. Delete it and download again.
• iPhone icon greyed out or app closes instantly: the developer profile isn't trusted, or its certificate has been revoked. Trust it, or reinstall from a fresh link.
• Windows blocks the file completely: your antivirus may have quarantined it. Only restore it if you're confident in the link.

Keep your Play8oy install genuine

Copies of Play8oy circulate outside the usual channels, and some are altered. Use one trusted link, and delete any version that asks for SMS, contacts or accessibility permissions. Never enter banking passwords into a game app.
